1980-1989             The 1980s the time of pop culture, sports, and technology and much more you could not even dream about. There were so many mysteries in this decade for example the challenger witch exploded 73 seconds after lift of. Why? Anyway, does the word rubix cube ring a bell? In the 80s Erno Rubix invented the rubix cube and became a millionaire. As you go on you will learn things about this decade you could have never imagined.          The 1980s filled with sports stars. Most of you should know this man. He is one of the nbas best players, and he has the category of most points per game average locked up (“McClellan 52.”) He is wait for it….. Michel Jordan. Michel Jordan is not the only NBA super star I am leaving someone out. He had just entered the Lakers. Kareem Abdul Jabar (“kyrene.k12.az.us”) . Enough about basketball how about some football. Did you know the sanfrancisco 49ers quarterback led his team to 4 super bowl championships back to back? Speaking about sports did you know in 1982 steroids were invented.          The 1980s filled with amazing inventions and technology. Have you ever heard of the game packman? In 1987 it was the first 3d game invented. In 1989 what almost every single human being should have in his house a high definition TV was invented (“modern inventions: inventors.about.com part of New York Times”). Did you know the cd was also invented in the 1980s?          The 80s were filled with violence and explosions. For example on March 30, 1981 President Ronald Reagan was shot but thank goodness he survived. On that same day the prime minister of India Indira Gandhi was assassinated. If your thinking that’s only the violence what about the explosions. Well check this out. In the 80s the mystical Mount Saint Helens blew its head of throwing ash and pumice 1000 feet into the air. Does the name challenger ring a bell? Well guess what the space shuttle exploded in space, after 73 deathly seconds after blast of (“Library.thinkquest.com”) . Who knows maybe some parts of the challenger are still floating in space and beyond.          Hey you yes you! Here’s an interesting fact did you know the famous basketball player Lebron James was born in the 1980s to be exact December 30, 1984. A lot of basket ball stars were born in the 80s like Kobe Bryant Carmelo Anthony.           The 80s were filled with smart people. Why do I think that? Because the first artificial heart was invented. A person whose name is not mentioned got an artificial heart and lived 112 days. Wow that’s amazing!          In all the 80s were filled with cool gismos and inventions. Booms and bams. By that I mean explosion and murder. Like the devastating eruption of Mount Saint Helens and the mysterious explosion of the challenger. Who could forget all about the TV stuff? For example the cosby show the most famous hit series in the 80s and mtv (“Epstein 12”) Hey don’t forget all about the sports. Am I leaving something out? OMG! How can I miss this, the rubix cube? Did you know it has over 16 quadrillion ways to solve it? Remember in all the 80s filled with explosions, murder, sports, and inventions.
